And it should be noted that the LD-3W comes pre-configured for the
Sirf-III "static navigation", a feature, which makes it unsusable for
pedestrians.
It can be switched off using the "sirfmon" tool from the gspd package,
though the process is not 100% trivial. But whan you do it you can also
enable track smoothing which makes quite some sense.
