FYI:
I deleted the FAT16 partition and re-created (fdisk /dev/sda, mkfs.
vfat /dev/sda1),
while leaving the other one untouched...
Now SWAP works on the first try.

Hi,
I am trying to create a swap partition on a 1GB kingston
previously partitioned to have 800MB fat and 200MB ext2
when I was using it with the OS2005.
extrootfs and swapon/off did work at that time well.

Now, when trying to create the swap with the OS2006 (released)
does not matter if it is 8,16,32,64MB, the machine simply seems to
hang and only the power button works. (yes i do wait even 10 mins.)
I need to mention that there is at least 300MB on the fat partition.

Please help me, i really need the swap space.
thanks in advice,
Marian
