Maemo mapper crashed often while downloding maps. I tried fsck.vfat -at /dev/sde. It took ages and found many brocken files. Mostly 0kb maps. Anyway, I created a new partition and formated /dev/sde1. Works well so far. It puzzled me that the fs type has to be vfat. ext2 seems not supported? That is as strange as the missing ogg support, eh ;-) Regards Krischan ======== Krischan Keitsch sip: 1-747-671-3372 im: krischan_keitsch at jabber.org email: krischan.keitsch at alumni.tu-berlin.de ----- Urspr?ngliche Mitteilung ----- Von: Stellars Henson <stellars at interia.pl> An: maemo-users at maemo.org Gesendet: Mi., 19. Do I have to unplug the mmc to fsch.vfat it on my linux desktop? No other way? Imagine being on the road and ... > > Any help and hints are wellcome. Thank you! > > Cheers Krischan > maybe you should write onto your mmc card fresh new filesystem? it seems that crash occurs significantly often when device proceeds with i/o (i.e. write) and you suddenly turn it off without any chance to finish pending process -- Stell _______________________________________________ maemo-users mailing list maemo-users at maemo.org https://maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-users
