[maemo-users] Creating .avi files for the video player with VirtualDub

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,

I tried a couple of times to create avi-video files for the video
player with VirtualDub or PoketDivXEncoder under Windows.

It doesn't matter, what I am doing, the video-player always says:
Could not open, file-format is not supported. (I translated this
back top english since I am running a german locale).

I tried 256x176 pixels with 25 fps and various MP3 encoding
parameters: form 32 kbit/s mono 22050 Khz up to 128 kbit/s
stereo 44100 kHz. I used always DivX, bitrates about 250-400
kbit/s and both singlepass and two-pass encoding.
I also tried 15 fps, but no success.

One interessting thin is, that the supplied iceAge2 trailer uses
48000 kHz MP3 with about 250 kbit/s... (at least this is what AVI
info tells me). My Sharp Zaurus with mplayer plays those files
fine.

BTW: I used lasted ROM 51-13

Thanks for any help,

-Klaus
