I have the same problem (as well as one with contact list, see other mail). I've changed my nokia to use pop instead, since it's not syncing over imap anyway, it makes imap pointless and I might as well use pop. I hope this will make the problem go away. But generaly, this (and no imap sync) makes the mail clients pretty much useless. Any alternative being ported to maemo?
