Debian:

# lvm version
  LVM version: 2.02.111(2) (2014-09-01)
  Library version: 1.02.90 (2014-09-01)
  Driver version: 4.27.0

Centos:
# cat /etc/redhat-release
CentOS Linux release 7.4.1708 (Core)
# lvm version
  LVM version: 2.02.171(2)-RHEL7 (2017-05-03)
  Library version: 1.02.140-RHEL7 (2017-05-03)
  Driver version: 4.35.0

Well, this output explains everything: Debian's LVM version is almost 3 years older than CentOS's one. Generally speaking, I think that CentOS/RH ages *much* better than Debian/Ubuntu regarding core kernel technologies (and related userspace tools) as thin provisioning.

Regards.
