LVM2 is a purely user space application - there are no kernel components to LVM itself. Instead, it uses the general device-mapper framework to manage mapped devices. This is part of the mainline 2.6 kernel (you'll find the code in the drivers/md directory in the kernel sources). LVM2 sources are available here: http://sourceware.org/lvm2/ Kind regards, Bryn. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.7 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Fedora - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFHXVtJ6YSQoMYUY94RAhxzAJ4kPAy+D0MAWDYjxs1j4Nm54q2nZgCeLojh rEECKr5BaLJropqHxVEpeKM= =McFL -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ linux-lvm mailing list linux-lvm@redhat.com https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/linux-lvm read the LVM HOW-TO at http://tldp.org/HOWTO/LVM-HOWTO/
