forgot to mention that 

[root@localhost ~]# pvcreate -t /dev/md0
  Test mode: Metadata will NOT be updated.
  Can't initialize physical volume "/dev/md0" of volume group "datavg"
without -ff

so it looks like it can tell /dev/md0 is a pv belongs to vg datavg, but
some data are missed.
