Thanks for reporting this. Note that the latest sensors-detect in svn already has support for detecting the F71889A. I also have a datasheet for this new version. I've just checked this, and there appear to be no changes to the registers used, so indeed just changing the SIO ID for the F71889FG to the one of the F71889A should just work. I've made a new version of the driver, which properly identifies the F71889A as f71889a rather then f71889fg, and also keeps support for the f71889fg in place.
