Erratic value of MCH temp. (0C), while BIOS value correct (40C).

Problem:
The sensors command reports 0C for the MCH temp., while the BIOS gives a reasonable value of about 40C.

I have added the suggested chipdrivers coretemp and w83627ehf to /etc/modules but that didn't solve the problem; removed them again.

Some systems (mainly servers) implement IPMI, a set of common interfaces
through which system health data may be retrieved, amongst other things.
We first try to get the information from SMBIOS. If we don't find it
there, we have to read from arbitrary I/O ports to probe for such
