Ah, I never look there, I'll try to take a peek there now and then from now on.

Yes,

After writing all the stuff snipped above, pressing enter and giving it a 
second thought, I've come to the conclusion that this way is both the easiest 
and the best.

I'm working on integrating your driver review changes now (so that I can test 
tomorrow when I have access to the actual hardware) and then I'll start working 
on a userspace patch.
