The "HF chip" mentioned in this ticket is the short name for a Winbond
W83627HF chip, which is a PC Super-I/O chip with hardware monitoring
functions, as you probably would have figured out by yourself if you
had made minimal search on the topic. The "H" standands for "hardware
monitoring" and the "F" for "Flash".

This doesn't appear to have anything to do with the "HF T/R chip (3-30
MHz)" thing you are looking for.
