Could the k8temp driver be interfering with ACPI?

Included the Intel ACPI spec representative.

I have heard that Windows is somehow restricting the ports and memory
locations that are accessible via AML; I don't know any of the details.
Also, there are fears of an "AML virus" attacking the machine.
