fan never stops working

I have an Asus A2H, its a P4 2.8Ghz.

Im using mandrake 10.2 Rc2 and have just updated my system
( kernel-2.6.11.6mdk-1-1mdk)
The problem is the fan never stops working, makes too noisy (think im going
deaf), but as i remember since i use mandrake, since version 7, it always was
like this.

If i go to Windows the laptop runs smoothly and the fan only works when is
needed (compile and such).

I already instaled lm_sensors and configured it (sensors-detect) but my fan
continues working like before (never stops), its very annoying.

Any help?
