A question when test W83792D driver on another motherboard

Hi Jean

This is chunhao.

As to the problem we meet on ASUS NCLV-D. I spent some time to debug
792 driver and i2c-proc driver. Here is some important information I
want to send you:

The 792 driver can NOT work on this motherboard because the function
w83792d_detect() in 792 driver can NOT be executed. The further reason
is:

In i2c-2.9.0/kernel/i2c-proc.c, function i2c_detect():
The returned value of
i2c_smbus_xfer(adapter, addr, 0, 0, 0, I2C_SMBUS_QUICK, NULL)
(Note: line 792 in i2c-proc.c)
is less than zero, it's value is always -1.
While on my another motherboard(ASUS PSCH-SR) that 792 driver can work.
The returned value of i2c_smbus_xfer() is zero, so w83792d_detect()
can be successfully executed.

Can you give us some help according above information?
We are going to try our 792 driver for Windows on this motherboard,
To find whether 792 driver for Windows version can work on it.
If can, I will contact you again. :-)

Thanks
Best Regards
Chunhao
