hello everyone.

i am willing to write a smart battery driver. reason? i have one.

in the acpi-devel ml, people advised me to start from drivers/i2c. later
i saw that your lmsensors website refers to the smart battery, but with
no driver name and no status associated.

i have also contacted the sbs-forum people to help me out.

i would like to hear oppinions from you...

1. can i ask questions in this mailing list? about i2c and chip access
in general, i mean, is this on-topic?
2. where should i start? i have some experience in C but have never
programmed in the kernel before, although i have been reading the
sources for some time now.
3. where else can i get help/datasheets/whatever i need?
4. is anyone else doing/trying to do the same as me?
5. if not, is anyone willing to help?

thanks for your time people.
regards,
pedro venda.
