Call for 2.8.8

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi all,

Looks like all required changes are in CVS now. I propose a feature
freeze, only bug fixes and documentation updates are allowed until
release.

Let's use the next week for tests and documentation updates, and release
by the end of September or beginning of October.

Sounds OK?

I also would like this release to be the last of the 2.8 series. We
really need to work on the 2.9 series, which should bring compatibility
back with the 2.4 kernels by reverting the module reference count
mechanism to what it used to be in series 2.7.

Thanks.
