More flash eeprom fun on a Thinkpad

The second link was the same as the first...

Looked closer at the datasheet.
At 54-57 it is a standard 8K eeprom.
But it also responds at 0x5c, where it has the access protection
registers.
My guess is that a write quick is trashing one of the access protection
registers.
But it could also be some probe in sensors-detect.
