I guess I can try...  I'll look at the source code as well.

I guess I'll have to read new_drivers now...

I did the development against Red Hat's bundled lm_sensors in the 7.3 kernel
(2.4.18-4)  Don't know how out of date with respect to CVS that is...

Guess I need to go setup CVS tree and do a merge...  OK.
