Problem: Realtek Semiconductor RTL8190 does not work

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

The following card does not work.
Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8190 802.11n Wireless LAN
Tried in various versions of the linux kernel, even the recent version (3.5-
rc6).
Finding i could see several people reporting the same problem. In mailing list
archives i not find anything related.

The command lspci -n returns id: 10ec:8190
http://cateee.net/lkddb/web-lkddb/RTL8192E.html
The link above shows that is related with the module rtl8192e_pci (staging).
Load this module does not change anything.
Version 2.6.38.8 has this id:
http://lxr.linux.no/linux+v2.6.38.8/drivers/staging/rtl8192e/r8192E_core.c (not
works).
Version 2.6.39 removed (i think):
http://lxr.linux.no/linux+v2.6.39/drivers/staging/rtl8192e/r8192E_core.c
Version 3.2.23 doesn't have:
http://lxr.linux.no/linux+v3.2.23/drivers/staging/rtl8192e/rtl_core.c
Version 3.4.4 doesn't have:
http://lxr.linux.no/linux+v3.4.4/drivers/staging/rtl8192e/rtl8192e/rtl_core.c
I have tried but so far I could not understand the code, so I'm available to
test code suggestions or give more information.

Best regards.
