b43 driver hang workaround

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Thought I'd post my workaround for the issue I've been experiencing. My
setup is as follows: Ubuntu 9.10 x86 and a BCM4318 in AP mode. Briefly,
I'd see a message in the logs about hardware encryption being disabled,
at which point my NIC would stop beaconing. Apparently turning off QoS
support remedies this problem. Putting this line into /etc/modules made
my wireless usable:

b43 qos=0

Obviously, QoS support is preferable to not, but I don't really need it
for my SOHO needs. Hopefully this will help someone else.
