This confirms my supposition. The firmware does give us an invalid read pointer in some situations. In the above case, the firmware also detected a "bad command" error itself. So we can use the second patch to prevent the panic (will do a formal submission) and start to track the firmware issue on the other hand. Thanks for your testing!
