Excellent! This actually works! I'm sure I had tried to disable all filters on my wl1271 tree, but I had broken something elsewhere, so it didn't work. Now I disabled the filters as you suggested in a clean tree and I can scan, associate, run dhcp, ping etc. with wl1271 on top of wireless-testing.

Now I'm cleaning up my mess to send the wl1271 driver to the list ;)
