Suggest to simply the use case to identify problem. Please turn off NetworkManager and use 'iw wlp1s0 scan' command to see if you can see any AP. If yes, try 'iw wlp1s0 connect AP_SSID' to connect a non-secure AP. The dmesg log should be collected after trying connection. Then we can see how the driver goes wrong. Ping-Ke
