Yes, there is a whole bunch of them and new ones are still coming out.
Some USB dongle mfgr prefer to implement RNDIS instead of MBIM because the same dongle can then be used for both old and new WIN versions. I do agree that the RNDIS protocol is crap but removing RNDIS_HOST will be a regression for many linux users.
