Dave, Here is the latest round of wireless fixes for 2.6.26. The EU regulatory domain patch is straight-forward and should not affect anyone who doesn't choose to use it. It is already queued in net-next-2.6, but upon reflection I think it makes sense to include it as a fix. I don't think git will choke on it at all. The iwlwifi patch is physically bigger than I would like to see at this point of the release, but it is isolated to the iwlwifi drivers and it should avoid problems with some cards trying to scan on channels they don't actually support. The rt2x00 patch seems a bit bigger than it really is, as it moves and consolidates some existing code. The b43 and b43legacy are all basically straight-forward bugfixes. Let me know if there are problems! Thanks, John --- Individual patches are available here: http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/linville/wireless-2.6 --- The following changes since commit 88a6f4ad76be425f47df7f892baf913bcd466fb3: Patrick McHardy (1): netfilter: ip6table_mangle: don't reroute in LOCAL_IN are available in the git repository at: git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/linville/wireless-2.6.git master Ivo van Doorn (1): rt2x00: Fix unbalanced mutex locking Michael Buesch (4): b43: Do not return TX_BUSY from op_tx b43legacy: Do not return TX_BUSY from op_tx b43: Fix possible MMIO access while device is down b43legacy: Fix possible NULL pointer dereference in DMA code Ron Rindjunsky (1): iwlwifi: improve scanning band selection management Tony Vroon (1): mac80211: implement EU regulatory domain drivers/net/wireless/b43/leds.c | 3 ++ drivers/net/wireless/b43/main.c | 12 +++++--- drivers/net/wireless/b43legacy/dma.c | 2 +- drivers/net/wireless/b43legacy/main.c | 6 +++- drivers/net/wireless/iwlwifi/iwl3945-base.c | 33 ++++++++++++---------- drivers/net/wireless/iwlwifi/iwl4965-base.c | 39 ++++++++++++++------------ drivers/net/wireless/rt2x00/rt2500usb.c | 36 ++++++++++++++---------- drivers/net/wireless/rt2x00/rt73usb.c | 36 ++++++++++++++---------- net/wireless/reg.c | 18 ++++++++++++ 9 files changed, 115 insertions(+), 70 deletions(-) diff --git a/drivers/net/wireless/b43/leds.c b/drivers/net/wireless/b43/leds.c index 36a9c42..76f4c7b 100644 --- a/drivers/net/wireless/b43/leds.c +++ b/drivers/net/wireless/b43/leds.c @@ -72,6 +72,9 @@ static void b43_led_brightness_set(struct led_classdev *led_dev, struct b43_wldev *dev = led->dev; bool radio_enabled; + if (unlikely(b43_status(dev) < B43_STAT_INITIALIZED)) + return; + /* Checking the radio-enabled status here is slightly racy, * but we want to avoid the locking overhead and we don't care * whether the LED has the wrong state for a second. */ diff --git a/drivers/net/wireless/b43/main.c b/drivers/net/wireless/b43/main.c index fa4b0d8..a708277 100644 --- a/drivers/net/wireless/b43/main.c +++ b/drivers/net/wireless/b43/main.c @@ -2883,12 +2883,11 @@ static int b43_op_tx(struct ieee80211_hw *hw, if (unlikely(skb->len < 2 + 2 + 6)) { /* Too short, this can't be a valid frame. */ - dev_kfree_skb_any(skb); - return NETDEV_TX_OK; + goto drop_packet; } B43_WARN_ON(skb_shinfo(skb)->nr_frags); if (unlikely(!dev)) - return NETDEV_TX_BUSY; + goto drop_packet; /* Transmissions on seperate queues can run concurrently. */ read_lock_irqsave(&wl->tx_lock, flags); @@ -2904,7 +2903,12 @@ static int b43_op_tx(struct ieee80211_hw *hw, read_unlock_irqrestore(&wl->tx_lock, flags); if (unlikely(err)) - return NETDEV_TX_BUSY; + goto drop_packet; + return NETDEV_TX_OK; + +drop_packet: + /* We can not transmit this packet.
