Hi,

I had the same problem with my 
thinkpad tablet 8. I followed up on 
Arend's suggestion and tried the v5 firmware which I found in the 
broadcom programme directory in 
win8.1. I tested with a live image of 
Fedlet and wifi immediate worked. 
Will do further testing later on.
