Is there a way to configure (i.e. disable) the "generic information elements" that are listed, for example, by "iwlist genie" ? I have an open ad-hoc network, and whereas one of my wifi cards shows "no generic IE (Operation not supported)", and works fine, my other card shows: IE: IEEE 802.11i/WPA2 Version 1 Group Cipher : CCMP Pairwise Ciphers (1) : CCMP Authentication Suites (1) : PSK which seems to be causing problems on some (probably buggy) machines that incorrectly think it's using WPA2. -- To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-wireless" in the body of a message to majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html
