Hi Girish,

PG2.0 was stopped been supported due to RX Mismatch problem that came due to "wrong/problematic" PPDU complete interrupt. In PG3.0 we moved in 127x to work as 128x devices, and solved that issue.

Hi TI Developers,

I am still waiting for reply from TI on whether our hardware can run successfully run the ol_R5.SP3.05 package or not.
We spend huge amount of time in testing the package. We are seeing the issue with the firmware binaries only. We don't have an any control on the firmware binaries and it a black box to us.
If the firmware is not supported on the older hardware, please apply a patch to the driver which will restrict running the new drivers on the older hardware.
It will also help to avoid people spending time on the new drivers with old hardware.
We wanted to make crucial decision for our Network Server product features based on the outcome of testing ol_R5.SP3.05 package which we couldn't achieve.
This has disappointed us a lot

Thanks & Regards,
Girish

Hi,

Do you have any updates on the testing at your side? Let us know any path forward on this?

Thanks & Regards,
Girish

Hi,

Thanks for the support
Can you let us know whether you were able to reproduce the issue using R5.SP3 on WL1271L (HW PG 2.0) on Linux?

 Thanks & Regards,
Girish

Luca,
We have tested the below release R5.SP3 on AM335x and WL1271L (HW PG 3.x) on Linux but not on PG 2.0.
I am not sure if the R5.SP3 driver/firmware would have any limitations of old version PG2.0.
We will run the exact scenarios that you mentioned for WL6 (PG3.x) and update.

Can you please shed some light on this activity, customer...

This feature handles a particular case like if you started the STA on Channel X and also you will start AP (P2P Group Owner) on the same channel (Channel X). Now if you change the channel of Station to Channel(Y), the driver automatically will take care of restarting the AP(P2P GO) on the same channel(Channel Y).

But when we run DHCP client on wlan0 to get the IP address from the Access Point, the driver throws "wl12xx: Beacon loss detected" message and the connection breaks and the driver gets into SCAN mode and will try to reconnect to the Access Point. Eventually we don't receive the IP address from the Access Point.
