I suspect you have an rtl8187B. A Linux driver appeared for a while on the Realtek site. Then for some unknow reason they seems to have deleted it. I want to add support for it in the rtl8187 mac80211 driver, but I have no plan to do it in near future, sorry. However maybe someone can host the driver appeared on Realtek site. I have a copy.
