From: Holger Schurig <hs4233@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> This patch adds support for Marvell based 8385 compact flash cards. Signed-off-by: Holger Schurig <hs4233@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> --- Please review and, if ok, apply as 2.6.23 material. This driver seems to work reasonably well, but given that it is my first WLAN driver, it might contain still errors, e.g. in the area of locking or handling of PCMCIA. One problem that I know off, but don't know how to handle it, is the following. After booting and inserting the card, I see this NOHZ-warning: pccard: PCMCIA card inserted into slot 0 cs: memory probe 0x0c0000-0x0fffff: excluding 0xc0000-0xcffff 0xe0000-0xfffff cs: memory probe 0x50000000-0x57ffffff: excluding 0x50000000-0x57ffffff cs: memory probe 0x60000000-0x60ffffff: excluding 0x60000000-0x60ffffff cs: memory probe 0xa0000000-0xa0ffffff: clean. cs: memory probe 0xffd00000-0xffdfffff: excluding 0xffd00000-0xffd0ffff 0xffdf0000-0xffdfffff pcmcia: registering new device pcmcia0.0 libertas: unidentified region code; using the default (USA) libertas: eth1: Marvell WLAN 802.11 adapter NOHZ: local_softirq_pending 08 NOHZ: local_softirq_pending 08 NOHZ: local_softirq_pending 08 NOHZ: local_softirq_pending 08 NOHZ: local_softirq_pending 08 NOHZ: local_softirq_pending 08 NOHZ: local_softirq_pending 08 NOHZ: local_softirq_pending 08 NOHZ: local_softirq_pending 08 NOHZ: local_softirq_pending 08 However, the card works. "pccardctl eject; sleep 0.5; rmmod libertas_cs libertas" removes the card and the driver. But another insertion of the card (either manual or via "pccardctl insert" won't show the NOHZ-warning again (and the card works again, of course).
