hostapd has code for using it, but it is commented out in the open
source version. I don't remember why that was done, but I would assume
it would have required more changes that I did want to do at the point
when merging this from Devicescape version.

Anyway, this was needed with a PrismGT card where the firmware was
indeed taking care of AID selection and then reporting the selected AID
to hostapd. I don't have anything against removing it for now.
