Hi. I'm Silvio from Argentina. I'm trying to make to work fine wifi in a Intel Classmate. The govern has distributed 120.000 classmates, with WiMAX support, with dual boot (Win 7 and Debian based distribution) However, WiMAX works fine in Windows 7, but not in Linux. Kernel just figure out the this wireless card for WiFi network only. When I run "rfkill list", It shows: 0: cmpc_rfkill: Wireless LAN Soft blocked: no Hard blocked: no 1: phy0: Wireless LAN Soft blocked: no Hard blocked: no The command "lspci -nnk" returns 07:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Intel Corporation Centrino Wireless-N + WiMAX 6150 [8086:0885] (rev 5f) Subsystem: Intel Corporation Centrino Wireless-N + WiMAX 6150 BGN [8086:1305] Kernel driver in use: iwlwifi Kernel modules: iwlwifi Then, network controller is up, but only works in Wifi. I tried with original kernel (2.6.38) and kernel & firmware squeeze backport (3.2), with the same result. The message http://lists.linuxwimax.org/pipermail/wimax/2012-January/001439.html is for identical trouble, but he/she never returns. I runned modprobe i2400m (after and before modprobe iwlwifi), and nothing happened. The Linux distribution is a customized Squeeze Debian clone. Thanks a lot. I apologize for my poor English. -- Silvio Quadri
