All the required steps in Linuxwimax.org
Build works fine

seems to load Wimax drivers can lsusb the card at the start and its

I can still wimaxcu scan , but finds nothing

ifconfig sees the interface
wmx0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:1d:e1:0d:fe:57
          UP NOARP MTU:1400 Metric:1

          TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:20
          RX bytes:0 (0.0 B) TX bytes:0 (0.0 B)

iwconfig has
wmx0 no wireless extensions

After a few mins the device disappears of lsusb list.

I can do wimaxcu scan still
I can do wimaxcu ron and it says radio on
but it finds no network.

and when remove the usb cable from system I get this in syslog

Dec 8 16:44:15 kerry-laptop kernel: [ 3154.630449] usb 1-5: USB disconnect,
address 6
Dec 8 16:44:15 kerry-laptop NetworkManager[841]: <info> radio killswitch

service for wmx0.
Dec 8 16:44:15 kerry-laptop wimaxd: stop signal is arrived: 2
Dec 8 16:44:15 kerry-laptop wimaxd: shutting down
Dec 8 16:44:20 kerry-laptop NetworkManager[841]: SCPlugin-Ifupdown:

Dec 8 16:44:20 kerry-laptop NetworkManager[841]: <info> (wmx0): device
state change: 2 -> 1 (reason 36)
Dec 8 16:44:20 kerry-laptop NetworkManager[841]: <info> (wmx0): cleaning
up...

So the system still sees it when its disconnected.
Any idea why its deactivating with wmx0 not ready

regards
