The uninitialized memory was created for the purpose of writing a coredump. vring_map_one_sg() should have direction=DMA_TO_DEVICE. I can't easily tell whether this is a genuine bug or an issue with commit 88938359e2df ("virtio: kmsan: check/unpoison scatterlist in vring_map_one_sg()"). Maybe coredump.c is writing out pages that KMSAN thinks are uninitialized?
