DRM_ERROR is deprecated if you have a drm_device.
Consider to use:

		drm_err(mdev->dev, "drm_simple_encoder_init() failed, error %d\n",
		        ret);
Note - "-ret" looked strange. We usually do not modify return values
like this when printing.
