TBH, modutils doesn't really care at this point.  And unless there's a
consistent way for IDs of devices to be exported, I don't see it doing
so.  And the sysfs stuff for iSeries vs power5 right now on vio is very
different.  Not that there wouldn't be (some) value to making them
similar/the same, but I think that the existence of the OF device tree
and wanting to tie into that for vio on power5 could make things
difficult.
