The patch looks fine to me.  Just fix up the commit message so it is
suitable for the git log (remove "Hello guys" etc and add your
Signed-off-by - ref https://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentation/SubmittingPatches )
and submit it without the "RFC".

Just to be absolutely sure:  This device does not match any of the two
"Gobi" layouts given in the qcserial driver?  Did you verify all three
ports, or was this based on a Windows driver *.inf?

Does the device have any additional net interface, which maybe could be
handled by qmi_wwan?
