The one thing I wanted to check was my understanding of the hibernate flow path. As you mentioned, I thought that xhci_suspend would be called in the hibernate path, but it's not. Perhaps there is a better function that's called in both the hibernate and suspend path where we can stop the compliance mode timer.
I'll poke around and see if I can find something like that, unless, as Don indicated, Rafael can jump in and give us a tip.
