I'm sorry to say that you are sitting on a dead end. Please google for chipidea, Richard Zhao, Marc Kleine-Budde. They are regularly dropping large patch bombs on linux-usb. I have no idea how to merge the patches together to some working state. Maybe Marc can give you a pointer.
