Hi,
The device 12d1:14c3 -->usb_modeswitch --> 12d1:14c8
should be added to the ID-list of "option" and "qmi_wwan".
The device has different IDs, but it should be very similar to
12d1:1505--> 12d1:1506 the Huwei E398-Modem.
The serial-modem function is confirmed by me using
echo "12d1 14c8" > /sys/bus/usb-serial/drivers/option1/new_id
and establishing a internet-connection.
But for wwan I have to compile a new kernel within the next days.
Sorry for not providing patches.
