I didn't look for another device in windows yet that could be the 'switch' to turn it on. I'll do that...

The touchscreen was successfully detected in Windows. Also in the
manufacturer's site there exists no driver or help for installing it
in Linux Strange!!!.
Are you sure it was detected on the USB bus?  Maybe it was detected on
some other bus and then told to attach itself over USB.
