I don't know if there's any further information I can provide on this
issue, but I am finding that being subscribed to the linux-usb mailing
list is simply way to much traffic for me to pay attention to. If
somebody wants to follow-up on this thread, they should CC me, because
I'm not likely to be subscribed very long.

(This is a big part of why I feel the bugzilla is a better venue for
this sort of thing: fine-grained subscriptions and notifications).
