Please note that a gadget with reconfigurable functions is really needed 
for us. It doesn't really need to be called Android gadget or follow strictly
its API or design, but starting from it was the easiest approach.

Could you point us the right direction of getting this feature into mainline?
We would really like to avoid using off-tree solution in the future products.
