The original question was "Is there support for Ethernet over USB for
the USB 3.0 A-to-A cables defined in the spec?"  The correct answer is 
"No".  In fact there isn't any support in Linux for USB-3.0 A-to-A 
cables at all, let alone Ethernet over USB.

There may be USB-Ethernet devices that attach to two hosts.  But such
things are really a device with two A-to-B (or A-to-captive) cables,
not a single A-to-A cable.
