This my first message here. I opened a bug-report and i was redirected
to this mailing list.
The bug-report is https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42937
and i found about this
mailing list after i uploaded all attachments of all tests. I was
really surprised by that.

Basically, when i instert a media on a dvd writer (TEAC DV-W28SS-R)
attached to a SATA-USB Bridge (Sunplus) plugged to a HUB (TERMINUS)
attached to
an USB controller there are USB Resets.

Typical reset:

I performed test on two systems, 3 usb controllers, and different os
(it is already uploaded to te bug-report), the results varies
with os version and controller. I was unable to reproduce the usb
reset attaching the SATA-Bridge directly to the USB host
controller.

I plan to get more usb hubs and maybe another SATA-USB Bridge.

Also, i was unable to reproduce the resets disabling the usb 2.0 speed
in the bios.

Thanks in advance.

Guillermo. Reartes.
