Also, I'd expect at least *two* AT capable ports on a GSM/UMTS device, but perhaps only one on a CDMA/EVDO device. Is this an EM770 (CDMA/EVDO) or a GSM/UMTS device? Also, again is there any way you can get the device model name and firmware version from ATI/AT+GMM/AT+GMR ? Here's the problem we have. 12d1:1001 is an ID used by a *lot* of Huawei devices. Most of them don't have this problem. Yours does. Because Huawei use the same VID/PID for many devices, we can't identify your device specifically and quirk it without quirking all of them.
