Hello everyone, my new laptop contains a "Sierra Wireless MC8305" HSDPA modem, USB id 1199:9011 (see also lsusb -v attachment). As a first attempt to get it to run on my Ubuntu machine with 2.6.38, I've taken the sierra.c v1.7.40 driver available from Sierra and just added the VID:PID pair to the list; as a result, I'm getting four serial devices /dev/ttyUSB[0..3]. However, it seems I can't yet talk to them via minicom. Can anybody give me some hints/background info on this device? Many thanks, Florian
