Hi Sebastian,
Hi Arvid,

I'm not sure which linux version I should ask Grek to apply these patches
to. All of these patches are bug fixes, but they're also non-trivial (and
there's still a known bug), so perhaps 3.0-rc7 is not the right place for
them?

Do you have any suggestions?
v3.0 has just been released.

The only way to get patches in it is by adding "Cc: stable" to your
patches if they fix something that is really bothering people. So unless
you aware that you introduced a problem in v3.0 with your earlier patches
(which are fixed by this series) then I would not recommend any changes.

So the merge window is now open and the general rule is that code should
be in -next before the merge window opens. However you worked really hard
on those and gave some testing before posting and you are confident about
it that it does more good than bad. So I'm totally on your side if you
consider this to be merged for v3.1
