Originally our software was designed to use our custom input module so we wanted
to prevent the HID driver from being attached to our devices. We now access all
of our devices through user level means so it's no longer necessary to blacklist
our input devices. The idea is that our input devices can now be used as HID
input devices when our software isn't running thus giving the users more
flexibility with our input devices. Before I submit a patch to remove our
devices from the blacklist, I was just looking for a quick method of testing our
devices while attached to the HID driver. If I could whitelist them temporarily
through some user level means, that would make my QA guys a bit happier.
